One year we grew pumpkins, had more than we needed so we put a little wagon across the road and the rest is history! Plus, who doesn't love Fall in Minnesota?!
Thea's Pumpkin Patch started in the Fall of 2010 with one acre of pumpkins - we currently grow between 7 and 8 acres of pumpkins and gourds. Over 30 different varieties! In 2016, we expanded our venture and added a corn maze! Each year, we change the maze theme and design and it is a crowd favorite. We have had visitors from all around the midwest and even California visit our 'small town pumpkin patch'.
Bring the kids out, enjoy the FUN games, stroll through the maze, grab a snack and pick out your perfect pumpkin - what a PERFECT way to enjoy an afternoon surrounded by the beauty of Minnesota. When you're done, you can take a beautiful drive through Otter Tail County on the historic Otter Trail Scenic Byway, located just minutes from our farm! Thea's Pumpkin Patch has full concessions available, as well as face painting, pumpkin painting & crazy hair on weekends.

2023 pricing
Admission is $10 - 2 and under FREE
Includes: Corn Maze, Barrel Cart Rides, Hay Rides, Yard Pool, Yard Foosball, Spider Web, Yard Mini Golf, Hay Bale Maze, Animal Yard -AND- lots of kids games.
Check out The Shack filled with local crafts and goods. Full concessions available as well.
Thea is active in 4H where she is an ambassador and participates in the county fair and won a trip to the state fair again this year. She is in band and plays the flute, she plays VB, BB and Softball. She is active in the Central Lutheran Youth group and is in her second year of Confirmation class. In her spare time she LOVES spending time with all of her animals, listening to music, driving 4 wheeler and doing anything outside. We, as a family, are very active in our community, belonging to Central Lutheran Church, Grove Lake 4H, School Board, West Otter Tail Extension Committee, Pelican Rapids School Foundation, Deer Hunters Association, and the Oktoberfest Committee.
The neat thing about Thea's Pumpkin Patch is it's a family run and operated business. Proceeds from the pumpkin and corn maze sales are put into a college fund for Thea. We also support our community and organizations through donations throughout the year. These range from the Ducks Unlimited to The Valkyrie run/walk, Pheasants Forever Oktoberfest and anything in between. Some of our Fundraisers have been for The Juvenile Diabetes walk, Down Syndrome walk and Westby family to name a few. This year we proudly started the Tanner Markgraf Memorial Scholarship Fund to honor Thea’s classmate Tanner who died unexpectedly days before starting 7th grade.

Thea's Pumpkin Patch is conveniently located between Pelican Rapids Minnesota and Fergus Falls Minnesota just off Highway 59. Set in the heart of lakes country, Thea's is only a stones throw away from Maplewood State Park, making your drive to and from absolutely delightful. Fall colors are in fine form during our peak season, so bring your camera and spend the day getting lost in the beauty.
Travel East on Interstate 94 out of Fargo/Moorhead. Take exit 32 and turn left (east) toward Pelican Rapids on Highway 108. Continue on Highway 108 for 11 miles until you reach Pelican Rapids. Turn right (south) onto US 59. Go through Pelican and continue on US 59 for 3.5 miles. Turn left (east) onto Appaloosa Road. Continue for 1.2 miles. Thea's will be on your right, but parking is on the left.

Coming off Interstate 94 through Fergus Falls. Take exit 50 and go straight (north) toward Pelican Rapids on US 59. Continue on US 59 for 13 miles. Turn right (east) onto Appaloosa Road. Continue for 1.2 miles. Thea's will be on your right, but parking is on the left.

Leaving Perham heading south on Highway 78. Turn right (west) onto Highway 108 toward Pelican Rapids, continue for 24 miles. Turn left (south) onto 230th Ave/Cross Point Road for 2.75 miles. Turn right (west) onto County Highway 3, continue for 1.5 miles. Turn left (south) onto Appaloosa Road. Continue for 1.1 miles. Thea's will be on your left, but parking is on the right.
